RJ Comer is the Principal Advisor at Ambit+.  He holds a J.D. from Loyola Law School and a B.A. in Political Science with an emphasis in Public Administration.  During is 20-year career as an attorney he secured land use entitlements for real estate companies and educational institutions, and successfully defended them in litigation.  A graduate of the prestigious Coro Fellows Program in Public Affairs, RJ gave time to his community and remained civically engaged throughout his legal career, serving on multiple boards of directors, assisting worthy causes, and serving as a visiting lecturer at the University of Southern California.  In 2004, RJ was awarded the U.S. President’s Volunteer Service Award by President George W. Bush.

Now retired, RJ and his wife live in rural Tennessee where they manage 73 acres of native woodland and prairie restoration.  He served on the Dickson County Planning Commission for four years and was elected Vice-Chair of the commission.  When he stepped down from the commission, Dickson County immediately hired him back as a consultant.

Ambit+ Advisors is RJ's platform for continued civic engagement and contribution, representing and engaging with or on-behalf of non-profit organizations on a sliding scale or pro bono, and helping government agencies improve efficiencies and better serve their communities.  He selectively represents real estate companies, reserving his time for only those companies who demonstrate the highest ethical standards and a commitment to public service and altruism.
